Melissa Conway holds a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from Yale University, with an emphasis on Book Arts. Her former institutions include the Library of Congress’ Rare Book and Special Collections Division; the Folger Shakespeare Library; the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University; and The Arcana Collection, one of the leading private collections of illuminated medieval and Renaissance manuscripts. She is the author of several publications on pre-1600 book production in continental Europe, including The Diario of the Printing Press of San Jacopo di Ripoli : Commentary and Transcription, Leo S. Olschki, 1999. With co-author Lisa Fagin Davis, she compiled a directory of 500 institutions in North America with medieval and Renaissance manuscript holdings, published in The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of America (September 2015: 273-420) and available at http://www.journals.uchicago.edu/toc/pbsa/2015/109/3.
