Siobhan Hagan

Siobhan Hagan (Coordinator, Audiovisual Media Preservation Initiative, Smithsonian Libraries and Archives, (Enable Javascript to see the email address)) was born and raised in Maryland and holds her M.A. in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has worked in a variety of collecting organizations throughout her career, including the UCLA Library, the National Aquarium, and the Smithsonian Institute. Siobhan is currently the Project Manager of the Memory Lab Network at DC Public Library and is the Founder and CEO of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Moving Image Archive (MARMIA). She has been an active member of the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA): she is currently co-chair of the Local TV Task Force, co-chair of the Regional Audio-Visual Archives Committee, is a member of the Election Committee, and was an AMIA Director of the Board from 2015-2017. Siobhan’s passion is the preservation and access of regional audiovisual materials, local television, home movies, and community and personal archiving.
